It is my pleasure to welcome you and your family to Karara State School. Our school offers learning programs from Kindy to Year 6. We are a short 30min drive west from Warwick or 35mins from Inglewood and are situated just off the Cunningham Highway in Karara. Our school values are respect, responsibility and safety, through which we promote kindness, tolerance and inclusive education. Our goal is to build on our students strengths to ensure they have the skills to succeed in the future.
We have an outstanding teacher to student ratio, allowing us to tailor each students' educational experience, specific to their individual needs. Our small school has the edge, as we have the opportunity to engage in a full curriculum along with providing additional learning opportunities including a sporting schools program, STEM program and Japanese language delivered through the Queensland Virtual Academy. Our teachers love teaching and our students love learning.
We believe strongly in developing each individual child to their full potential – be it academically, physically, socially, emotionally, culturally or creatively. Through our comprehensive knowledge of each child, we endeavour to achieve this without imposing unrealistic expectations upon the learner.
Our school is central to the community of Karara and we consistently engage with our residents in the local area, the Rural Fire Service, Karara Hall Committee and Karara Tavern and Motel. We actively encourage school partnerships that support our community.
Myself and the staff welcome the opportunity to show you what Karara State School can offer your child. Contact administration on (07) 4667 4177 to make an appointment to discuss the fantastic opportunities available to your child at Karara State School. We look forward to assisting them as they Strive to Succeed.
